SNACKS OR MEALS

Hey granola people,

So lately, I’ve decided to move on to actually eating meals.. I am a HUGE SNACKER! I have always been, but I have slowly moved onto meals.  Some people say that you should eat six small meals or snacks a day to be a fat burning machine…then there are those who preach only three meals. For me I’ve pretty much snacked my whole life and didn’t really prefer meals, but the only problem was I was finding I was always SO hungry! I think it was due to not getting the proper macro and micro nutrients… I was eating healthy foods, but wasn’t eating to the point of feeling full or the right combination of foods.  My day starts with coffee with a dash of coconut milk. Yes, I am one of those few lucky people who get to come home for lunch… Lunch is usually three eggs, one zucchini, handful of spinach, garlic, onion, salt, and guacamole. This large plate of veggies fills me  up for the next few hours until I come home. When 5 o’clock rolls around I’m typically not that hungry because my lunch is very filling… I usually make another egg, veggie plate with whatever veggies I have left.:0) I have found that some days, depending on how hungry I am, I’ll add more food to these meals. I have found that being very in tune with my body and what it needs is the best way to know what foods and patterns of eating are best. This way of eating has been extremely helpful to me because I can accomplish my goal of filling up on healthy micronutrient dense foods.:0)
